Delivered on behalf of West Cumbria Rivers Trust
We were proud to support West Cumbria Rivers Trust in delivering elements of the four-year Glenderamackin Catchment Restoration Project. Funded through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development’s Water Environment Grant scheme, the initiative brought together landowners and partners to reduce flood risk in Keswick while enhancing biodiversity and watercourse health.
Construction of a new pond.
Restoration and enlargement of two existing ponds across three sites in the Thirlmere area.
Installation of livestock fencing to protect restored habitats and secure long-term environmental gains.
Completed in September 2022, the works have already contributed to improved habitat quality, biodiversity, and catchment resilience.
